Eli & Fur drop ethereal new single ‘Missing You’

Multi-hyphenate producer / DJ / singer-songwriter duo Eli & Fur release ‘Missing You’, out now from their upcoming Dreamscapes album, out September 27th on [PIAS] Électronique. Channeling an essence of empathy, ‘Missing You’ fuses heartfelt lyricism with an atmospheric soundscape that is both true to the duo’s dance-pop influence and uniquely evolved from previous musical releases. Deceptively simple yet sophisticated in craft and construction, Eli & Fur balance rippling melodic piano arps, slippery breaksy drums, and an echoing softly sung vocal to create a laid-back feel that is so blissfully all-in, even the lover’s absence is a joy to savour.

Eli & Fur share: “We are so excited to share ‘Missing You’ with the world. This song is about the feeling of missing someone and the euphoria that comes with that feeling, to be lost in a love that’s all consuming. The world is spinning so fast and you are just stopped, floating in a dream wishing you were with this person. It’s less of a yearning and more of the beauty and celebration of having someone to miss. We hope you enjoy it.”

Previous LP singles ‘Insomnia’, ‘Golden Eyes and Tears’, and ‘My Reflection’ (which bejeweled their Cercle Festival Paris secret sets) have already garnered praise from tastemakers including Numéro, Billboard, Mixmag, BBC 6 Music, SiriusXM, DJ Mag, KCRW and Kiss FM.

Dreamscapes LP concept:

Each of the 15 songs tells its own story about the introspective, yet transformative spaces that come alive between the hours of dusk and dawn. Poised to transcend the traditional listening experience, this latest body of work further affirms Eli & Fur’s unparalleled ability to harmonise diverse musical elements with universally connective themes, demonstrating their songwriting prowess (they began as lyricists for artists inc. Pet Shop Boys, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays), artistic range and technical expertise.
