Eclectic emerging producer Errance unveils a second single, ‘Idyll’

Errance revealed his second single, ‘Idyll’, on April 12th, 2024, via Société Holographique de Montréal. This unveiling follows the success of his debut single, ‘Guidance’, which received praise from CLASH Magazine, BBC Radio 6’s Tom Ravenscroft, and Deb Grant. Errance, the solo musical project of Gabriel Gagnon—producer, composer, and DJ—emerges from his profound journey of self-discovery and deep connection with nature. Both singles serve as previews of his upcoming self-titled album, Errance, set to release on May 17th, 2024. Before embarking on his solo endeavor, Gabriel had built a notable career as a producer and composer spanning various industries. He maintains a strong musical partnership and collaborative space with Hologramme. As Errance, Gabriel crafts a sonic landscape influenced by artists like Floating Points, Mount Kimbie, Max Cooper, and Jon Hopkins.

‘Idyll’ showcases Errance’s versatility as a producer, departing from the deep, reverberating resonance of his first single,  ‘Guidance’. It presents a delicate, evolving composition with a gentle, rhythmic breakbeat and fluid bassline. While preserving Errance’s natural essence, nuanced ambient components blend seamlessly with the pulsating rhythms, enhancing the complex instrumental arrangement.

Errance divulged: This song is an ode to spring, to reconnection, crafted with natural elements and enhanced with analog and electronic processes. It evokes the need to return home, to reconnect with something or someone that was gone for a while.”
