Italian producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Raffaele Scoccia, better known as Moon Rocket, returns with ‘Be The One You Are’, released 15 October 2026 on Moon Rocket Music. The single extends a catalogue spanning Defected, Nervous, Sony Italy, BBE, Hed Kandi and Soulfuric. Scoccia’s previous release, ‘Reciprocity’, amassed over 21 million streams and 250,000 Shazams, and was named Traxsource’s Best Afro House Track of 2020. Black Coffee and Seth Troxler have championed his productions, while outlets including Billboard, Traxsource, CLASH Magazine and Cultr have provided coverage. His music has appeared on MadorasindaHouse, and his live sets have reached Output Brooklyn, Miami Music Week, ADE and Nikki Beach. Beginning at 15 with a piano gifted by his parents, Scoccia trained in classical music, harmony and composition. Now a classically trained pianist and Hammond organ player, he crafts an Afro Melodic-Tech sound defined by melodic intricacy, instrumental detail and club-focused rhythm.

‘Be The One You Are’ delivers a streamlined Afro house groove anchored by a looping midrange piano motif, locked tightly with the kick and off-beat percussion. Shakers and a rounded, resonant bassline reinforce the rhythm, while the piano remains the melodic core. The vocals emerge as clear, melodic hooks, drawing on the R&B-tinged style of recent Adam Port and Stryv tracks rather than the densely layered vocals of classic Afro house. Percussion builds with subtle progression, avoiding a traditional breakdown, and the track sustains a club-ready momentum reminiscent of HUGEL’s rhythmic approach.

Moon Rocket shared: “This track is about coming back to yourself. About letting go of the noise, the expectations, and the need to fit into someone else’s idea of who you should be. I wanted the music to carry that feeling of freedom — something melodic and uplifting, but with a deeper message underneath: when you stop pretending and start standing in your own name, you find your own rhythm.”
