Unheard Music Drops Debut with Far&High and pizzaaftersex’s ‘Rabbit Hole’

Unheard Music steps into the scene today, October 31, with its first release, ‘Rabbit Hole’, a collaboration between co-founders Far&High and pizzaaftersex, featuring remixes from Sasha Carassi and Gorge. The label pulls together these artists, with Mona Chrome at the helm, all pushing for sounds that sidestep the standard dance-music grind. Far&High brings a solid two-and-a-half decades in electronic production, folding indie dance lines into tracks like ‘Alone’ and ‘Sans Vêtements’ that take chances without apology. pizzaaftersex draws on tens of millions of streams in mood-driven electronic music, now sharpening that into DJ sets that roam styles but stay locked on the beat. Mona Chrome adds her rising techno profile, drawing from dub and house to craft looping, pulling grooves that have already drawn sets from Solomun and Pan-Pot, with her own drops queued up next.

At its base, Unheard Music runs on a straight-up rejection of dance music’s trend-chasing and formula traps, handing artists the keys to veer off course and land wherever their creative freedom takes them. It’s all about carving out space for those who love to test boundaries in music and experiment sonically. The rollout for the first single, ‘Rabbit Hole,’ hits digital platforms and vinyl pressings to keep control in the hands of the artists, with a stacked lineup of releases on deck to back that push.

Far&High had this to say: “We are happy to be part of not only the first release on Unheard Music, but also to be among the co-founders of this label. It’s a huge and meaningful part of our musical life. We want this label to become a comfortable space for self-expression, because if you think about it, there are only two types of music in the world: the kind you like and the kind you don’t. Our goal is to move beyond all genre, stylistic, and conceptual boundaries. Our dream is to create a community that simply loves music, and our collaborative project Unheard Music is an attempt to erase those barriers. The label’s focus is not genre-driven, but by the artistic vision of its creators. This is where the absence of a defined genre becomes the concept itself. We collectively believe in music that comes sincerely from the heart, without expectations… just great music. In the end, the concept is simple: freedom fuelled by dance music.”
