Hailing from Montréal and currently based in Orford, Canadian producer, director, and composer Errance released his third single, ‘Oxytocin’, on the 2nd of May 2024 via Société Holographique de Montréal. The track follows the release of his first two singles, ‘Guidance’ and ‘Idyll’, and precedes the release of his self-titled debut album which is set for release on the 17th of May. ‘Guidance’ received support from CLASH Magazine, BBC Radio 6’s Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant. Errance is the solo musical project of Gabriel Gagnon, who is beginning to carve out a place for his own musical expression in the wake of a process of deep introspection, self-growth and a profound connection to nature. 

‘Oxytocin’ is an energising and hypnotic work of IDM. Replete with echoey effects, organic textures, mesmerising vocal samples and an irresistible shuffling rhythm to boot, it warms the listener from the inside out. The track glints and paints a sonic picture of a faraway magical paradise, with a hint of nostalgia and wistfulness in its beauty.

Errance shared: “Having relocated part of [my] life near Mont-Orford National Park, I discovered inspiration in nature during moments of tranquillity and contemplation. It was within the rhythm of routine and the commitment to consistency that I cultivated the discipline necessary to bring these creations to life. In the company of [my] faithful companion, Pépé, the long walks became a conduit to a profound connection with the present moment and gave me the opportunity to explore, analyse and capture different elements and create a toolbox to use in the studio.”
