Under Quality Goods Records, eloquent electronic producer munro also known as Ian Munro released his latest ‘About You’ video on the 1st of December 2022. Hailing from New Zealand, Auckland to be precise, Ian’s music has enjoyed impressive recognition, particularly, its inclusion in the prominent YouTube channels the likes of AllTrapMusic and Trap Nation among others.

The ‘About You’ video explodes with beautiful colours resulting in an expressive and emotive representation of humans that is a feast for the eyes. The images move through the video in a melange of whites, oranges, yellows, vibrant greens, and red just to mention a few. These images are offset by a powerful chiaroscuro and the brightening effects of gently delineated white paint-strokes-like graphics embedded in the video. The colours in the video seem to dance and at times appear to flicker out of the video towards the viewers.   

munro discusses the creative direction of the video: “I wanted to tackle the direction for this video in a way that flipped the narrative of the songwriting on its head. I’ve always loved the idea that art exists in this ambiguous space of negotiated interpretations – no matter what you intend the message to be, someone’s going to hear it, feel it, and see it entirely differently”.
